New Directory for PEAR

Hi, I would like to add a new directory to PEAR (Files/) which would contain standard functions needed for manipulating/working with the filesystems. An example of a function that I would like to add to this directory right away would be the maptree function which will map out an entire directory tree returning a list of both files and directories. Or another function that searches an entire directory tree using either perl based regular expressions or PHP regular expressions (ereg and eregi). It says in the PEAR readme to discuss this on the list, so, this is kinda like opening the idea up for discussion. Let me know what you think.
