From: gordon+php@vip.fi Operating system: Linux 2.2.12 SMP PHP version: 4.0 Beta 4 Patch Level 1 PHP Bug Type: Solid related Bug description: symbol for SQLParamData missing when compiling w/Solid This is a bug that has been hanging there since 4.0b1; compilation goes without a hitch (after tuning configure and ext/odbc/php_odbc.h to accommodate Solid 3.0), but when trying to start Apache it complains that it can not find the symbol for SQLParamData (which is in the Solid library, I checked with ar). There is no good reason for the missing symbol, so I'm baffled. All other combinations of options for configure work, but when I add --with-solid (yes, I have solid in /usr/local/solid and laid out so that PHP finds what it needs) the symbol problem pops up. I have written a few test programs in C, and SQLParamData definitely is there and works. Apache reports: Cannot load /usr/local/apache/libexec/libphp4.so into server: /usr/local/apache/libexec/libphp4.so: undefined symbol: SQLParamData /usr/local/apache/bin/apachectl startssl: httpd could not be started working with Apache 1.3.12, mod_ssl 2.6.0 (DSO), PHP4.0b4pl1 (DSO), Solid EE 03.00.0051 (glibc2)
