When i try to build php_custom_build it errs with : 'bison.exe: invalid option -- S' I have downloaded the latest bison version from <http://www.delorie.com>www.delorie.com and the bison hack from <http://www.php.net>www.php.net and both have the same error. It seems like bison on NT doesn't have the '-S' option. What am i doing wrong ? Both the release and debug modes in the php_custom_build.dsp have the '-S' bison parameter. I'm looking at PHP because i want to improve the Oracle interface to php. I used to be responsible for the Oracle Web Server on NT, so i have the necessary experience (Oracle db + web) and still work for Oracle in the web space. I'm trying to use Apache and PHP3 on NT, to see what the issues are and how to improve apache/php talking to Oracle rdbms's. Only the bison binary that comes with Cygwin32 supports the -S switch. It's GNU bison 1.25, but with patches that are necessary for Windows (your average Windows user will not have c:\usr\local\shared, so they give an option to look for the bison.simple file elsewhere). You can get the Cygnus package from ftp.cygnus.com.
