From: chrisbolt@home.com
Operating system: Linux 2.2.13
PHP version: 3.0.15
PHP Bug Type: Misbehaving function
Bug description: PCRE not working as expected
First, my perl code:
#!/usr/bin/perl
$template = "\$include blah";
if ($template =~ /\$include/i) {
print "matched";
}
The above returns "matched" as expected.
<?
$template = "\$include blah";
if (preg_match("/\$include/i", $template)) {
print "matched";
}
?>
The corresponding PHP code does not. Tested on PHP 3.0.15 and 4.0 b4 pl1
