It's just a simple little PHP app I threw together ages ago. Jim Winstead
and others have enhanced it a bit as well. The thing that mails out the
open bugs every Saturday is a trivial little PHP script run from the
cron. It looks like this:
#!/usr/local/bin/php -q
<?
mysql_connect("localhost","nobody","XXX") or die("Unable to
connect to SQL server\n");
mysql_select_db("php3");
$result = mysql_query("select id,bug_type,status,sdesc from bugdb where status !=
'Closed' and php_version like '3%' order by bug_type,id");
if($num=mysql_num_rows($result)) {
$body = " PHP 3.0 Bug Database summary - http://bugs.php.net\n\n";
$body .= " Num Status Summary ($num total including feature requests)\n";
$last_group = "";
while($row = mysql_fetch_array($result,MYSQL_ASSOC)) {
if($last_group!=$row[bug_type]) {
$last_group = $row[bug_type];
$body .=
"===============================================[".$row[bug_type]."]";
$len = 29-strlen($row[bug_type]);
for($i=0;$i<$len; $i++) $body .= "=";
$body .= "\n";
}
$body .= sprintf("%4d ",$row[id]);
$body .= sprintf("%-9s ",$row[status]);
$body .= " ".$row[sdesc]."\n";
}
mysql_free_result($result);
mail("php-dev@lists.php.net","PHP 3.0 Bug Summary
Report",$body,"From: php-dev@lists.php.net");
}
?>
