Operating system: Mandrake Linux 7.0
PHP version: 4.0 Release Candidate 1
PHP Bug Type: Compile Failure
Bug description: PostgreSQL support seems to require PostgreSQL source
I have a binary installation of PostgreSQL, which I installed as part of the standard Mandrake Linux
7.0 installation. There are no PostgreSQL source files on my system.
I tried all three combinations:
configure --with-pgsql
configure --with-pgsql=shared
configure --with-pgsql=shared,/var/lib/pgsql
In all 3 cases, during the "make", it tries to look for PostgreSQL .c and .h files and
doesn't find any. The compilation fails. There should be a way to install PHP with PostgreSQL
support with only a binary installation of PostgreSQL.
