php3 runs only ok when starting apache without it, enabling it and then restarting apache, otherwise core is dumped

Hello, I have the following problem: 1. When I start Apache (1.3.12) with PHP3 ENabled in httpd.conf, I receive a core file (pls take a look at the end of this mail) and no webserver started ;-(( 2. When I start Apache (1.3.12) with PHP3 DISabled in httpd.conf, everything is alright. And when I then ENable PHP3 in httpd.conf and do a restart (no stop/start!!) PHP3 is running! (/usr/local/apache/bin/apachectl restart) I am using php-3.0.15 on RedHat 6.0, Kernel 2.2.5, Apache 1.3.12. Why does it only run correctly when first starting with php3 disabled and then enabling and doing a restart ??? BTW, the 'make install' from php3 placed the AddModule and LoadModule line for php at the end of its respective block, it does not matter if there's an AddType line for PHP or not. Should I load PHP earlier when starting apache ?
