Operating system: SCO OpenServer 5.0.4
PHP version: 4.0 Release Candidate 2
PHP Bug Type: Compile Failure
Bug description: Bombing out in make due to problem with syslog.h
./configure --without-mysql --enable-track-vars
gcc 2.95.2pl1
gmake 3.78.1
In the SCO syslog.h file(/usr/include/sys/), the word 'syslog' is being defined to either
std_syslog or var_syslog. This in turn seems to be screwing thing's up in basic_functions.c and
the like due to the function naming macro's etc. not being created properly.
I can get it to sort of compile by manually altering things in basic_functions.c but it has a
'side effect' and so require's a proper fix.
The 'side effect' is the php function syslog() being defined as std_syslog() instead. This
still seems to work, but obviously is not right.

Paul
