can't be mixed array in javascript

I have to use array tag in html code, and... i have to access the value from the javascript code in the page... for example,(this is not real example, simple example) <script language='javascript'> function setvalue(value) { document.form.aaa[0].value = value; } </script> <input type=hidden name=aaa[0] value=""> ------------------------------------------------------- i have avoided this kind of thing because there's also array data type in the javascript, so it shouldn't be mixed... but, i faced some problem... i can't solve this problem without solving the above problem... so, is there any solution for that??? please if you know, let me know... thanks~~~
