Hello Jouni, On 21-May-00 20:17:35, you wrote: >ID: 4230 >Updated by: jah >Reported By: mlemos@acm.org >Status: Closed >Bug Type: Scripting Engine problem >Assigned To: >Comments: >This is not actually PostgreSQL related in any way, it happens because >putenv() accidentally modifies its input argument, and (probably) because >the Zend engine is so clever that there's only one copy of the string given >as argument to putenv(). After the first call, = in it will change to NULL. What an odd bug? I guess it was more serious than I thought. I wonder if these bugs could be prevented systematically as that it is possible that more of these may be lurking. >Fix will be in cvs in few minutes, unless it immediately breaks up somethingg >else. In the name of all affected PHP users and Metabase users in particular, thank you. I can confirm that it is indeed fixed. These are the Metabase database driver conformance tests for PostgreSQL: Before the fix: Testing typed field storage and retrieval ... FAILED! the value retrieved for field "access_date" (05-21-2000) doesn't match what was stored (2000-05-21)Testing paged queries... FAILED! the value retrieved from row 0 for field "access_date" (05-21-2000) doesn't match what was stored (2000-05-21) Testing sequences... OK. Testing query affected rows... OK. Testing transactions... OK. 3 tests passed, 2 tests failed! After the fix: Testing typed field storage and retrieval ... OK. Testing paged queries... OK. Testing sequences... OK. Testing query affected rows... OK. Testing transactions... OK. Passed all the 5 tests that were performed! Regards, Manuel Lemos Web Programming Components using PHP Classes.
