nope, still nothing, now the page won't display because it does not have a
html header.
I'm going to have to create another .asp site if I can't resolve this...
anyone got a php.ini file that I could look at?

remove *any code* that creates output before the call to
session_start();
(in this case, remove the line that says <p>Before</p>)
it should work then.
