Two things:
Can we make a mirrors@lists.php.net mailing list, just to keep in touch
with the admins for each of the mirror sites? This dev list gets a lot of
traffic that mirror admins really don't need to get.
Second, any reason why all the download requests are being sent to
www.php.net for logging, and then back to the mirror site? This seems a bit
unnecessary, especially given the availability of www.php.net over the last
few days. Yes, it might be nice to have download stats at a central
location, but you don't need to redirect to do it.
Heck, we should make a system (in the future) for mirror sites (in the
future) to report their logs daily.
