I' had that problem myself for a while - can't remember how I fixed it. The
problem is that when configure
builds the little program to test (for example) gdImageColorResolve exists
in libgb, it's not linking the
other libraries that GD itself needs (libz, libjpeg from memory). Hence the
compile fails, and the
feature is therefore not detected. Check your config.log, and compile the
bit of code there. From
memory, I modified the configure script to add those libraries to LIBS.
