Hiyas,
I committed a some changes to the NSAPI module today, about 1500CET (thats
1400GMT I think) This includes all my current patches and the patch I got from
the php-dev list last week.
The changes I added were:
-added ZTS support, I think that stands for Zend Thread Safe. Since NSAPI is
threaded this is a MUST or the damn thing just crashes on startup. This was the
patch from the original NSAPI module author.
-added autoconf testing for location of NSAPI include files for 3.x and 4.x
versions of netscape, 4.x moved the include path...duh.
-added some extra documentation for UNIX installations.
-added $PHP_SELF as a global variable in the same way that the apache server
defines this, also a number of other globals, you can see these by looking
at the output from phpinfo().
I will be making the list of variables more complete soon, but I think the
PHP_SELF is the most critical.
My testing platforms on which this works:
Sun Ultra e450 (4cpu,4Gb RAM) Solaris 2.6, Netscape Enterprise 3.63
Sun Ultra e10000 (28cpu, 32Gb RAM) Solaris 2.6, Netscape Enterprise 3.51
Sun Ultra e420R (4cpu, 2Gb RAM) Solaris 7, iPlanet 4.0sp2 (basically netscape
4.0)
Sun Ultra e4500 (14cpu, 14Gb RAM) Solaris 8, iPlanet 4.0
Sun Ultra e420R (2cpu, 4Gb RAM) Solaris 7, Apache 1.3.12 APXS php module.
Currently untested on any version of Windows since I don't have access to any
windows servers or software, so if someone could make sure I haven't broken
anything I'd be very pleased ;)
I recommend the following basic configure flags for Solaris with gcc 2.9.5:
--enable-libgcc (some systems seem to not need this, if you get undefined
symbols, suspect this)
--enable-experimental-zts
--with-nsapi=XXX (XXX is patch to netscape directory)
my systems also add:
--with-ibmdb2=XXX
That should fix you up, if not feel free to mail again.
