PHP is only under the PHP license. The Zend license only applies if you take out the Zend Engine from PHP for use in another product or if you are commiting changes directly for the Zend Engine (doesn't happen too often). PHP is under a BSD-style license which is a very unrestrictive license. If you want your extension to be part of the PHP repository it should be under the PHP license (read the LICENSE file in the php4/ source directory). Andi

My current choice is to release my extension under the GPL license, but is that valid? - I mean, I use PHP code (phpize, header-files, etc.) to create the extension.
