I've had the same problem on a RH6.1 system. Tried every kind of config,
nothing worked. Apache keeps crashing on any swf_* function (note that
everything is fine when no swf_* function is called, php functions
flawlessly).
Latest config :
./configure --with-apxs=/www/bin/apxs --enable-track-vars \
--enable-magic-quotes --enable-ftp --with-gd --with-ttf \
--enable-freetype-4bit-antialias-hack --with-mysql \
--with-pdflib --enable-trans-sid --with-swf=../dist \
--with-zlib=/usr/lib
Also tried above but no apxs (--with-apache=../apache_1.3.12/
instead). And tried :
./configure --with-apxs=/www/bin/apxs --without-gd --disable-xml
(and of course the same, but with --with-apache=../apache_1.3.12/
in stead of apxs). All resulted in a segfaulting apache whenever
a call to any swf-related function was made.
Also tried a stand-alone CGI-version. This didn't crash, but it
didn't do any swf-stuff either. It just gave a 'text/html'-
header, nothing more.
I tried apache both with and without the -lpthread option. No
change there. Also tried php with --enable-debug. No extra
information in the logs.
Used : php-4.0.0 (release)
apache 1.3.12
swf-lib 0.99
RH6.1 /w kernel 2.2.14
I'll probably try a CVS-version when I find the time.
