From: gummo@appleonline.net Operating system: Mac OS X - DP4 (Darwin1.1) PHP version: 4.0.0 Release PHP Bug Type: Compile Failure Bug description: Link Failure A few problems: First, I had to patch configure with the command 'cp /usr/libexec/config.* .' to get configure to recognize the OS. Then, it would't compile AT ALL with mysql support enabled. Second, after disabling mysql, and running make, the compile fails with the following error: /usr/bin/ld: multiple definitions of symbol _ap_os_is_path_absolute .libs/libphp4.lax/libsapi.al/mod_php4.lo definition of _ap_os_is_path_absolute in section (__TEXT,__text) .libs/libphp4.lax/libsapi.al/php_apache.lo definition of _ap_os_is_path_absolute in section (__TEXT,__text) .libs/libphp4.lax/libsapi.al/sapi_apache.lo definition of _ap_os_is_path_absolute in section (__TEXT,__text) make[1]: *** [libphp4.la] Error 1 make: *** [all-recursive] Error 1 which I can not get past. If anyone has any luck with this, or running on darwin please let me know. TIA -Rob
