PHP 4.0 Bug #4907: relocation error: symbol opinit not found

From: Mark.Faine@msfc.nasa.gov Operating system: Solaris 2.6 PHP version: 4.0 Latest CVS (08/06/2000) PHP Bug Type: Dynamic loading related Bug description: relocation error: symbol opinit not found No matter what I've tried I keep running into this problem, could this have something to do with ld.so not being Gnu but Sun. I passed the following configuration flags: ./configure --with-nsapi=/home/web_server/netscape/suitespot --with-oracle --ena ble-experimental-zts --enable-libgcc --enable-sigchild --enable-magic-quotes --e nable-track-vars --enable-trans-sid --enable-versioning --enable-sysvshm I get the following error when trying to start the server. I've checked the compiler (gcc) and it seems to be working just fine. conf_init: Error running init function load-modules: dlopen of /home/web_server/netscape/suitespot/bin/libphp4.so failed (ld.so.1: ns-httpd: fatal: relocation error: file /home/web_server/netscape/suitespot/bin/libphp4.so: symbol opinit: referenced symbol not found) the symbol seems to be from: /usr/local/lib/gcc-lib/sparc-sun-solaris2.6/2.95.2 all the files that start with cc1 (cc1,cc1chill,cc1obj,cc1plus) starbase# nm -C cc1* | grep opinit [2127] | 0| 0|FILE |LOCL |0 |ABS |insn-opinit.c [2524] | 0| 0|FILE |LOCL |0 |ABS |insn-opinit.c [2127] | 0| 0|FILE |LOCL |0 |ABS |insn-opinit.c [2127] | 0| 0|FILE |LOCL |0 |ABS |insn-opinit.c That's about all I know - thanks for all your help -Mark
