If phpinfo() shows php 3.0.11 as the current version, then you haven't properly installed PHP
4.0. PHP 4.0 will identify itself as version 4.0.
Note that PWS uses the IIS metabase mechanism, which is (IMHO) a very annoying mechanism, which is
very difficult to control. If earlier you were using php.exe or php3.exe to parse .php files,
it'll take a while to make PWS's metabase forget about it. That may be the reason why the
registry settings you fed PWS with aren't taking affect (it won't pay attention to the
registry, if it already knows what to do with .php files).
Try to remove anything related to .php/.php3 files from the PWS administration. Then feed Windows
with the .reg file again. Try to remove (or rename) your old PHP 3.0 executables. Your mileage may
vary...
