The following procedure did help. Download an old aspell (I used .26 version) # ./configure # make # make install # cp aspell-c.h /usr/local/include/ # echo "/usr/local/lib" >> /etc/ld.so.conf # ldconifg # ./configure --with-mysql --with-apxs --with-config-file-path=/etc/php --with-aspell in the php compile dir That should work Please add this info to your INSTALL file, so other people can get through this with investing less time.
