Ok, I've been doing a LOT of work today getting the 3.1 tree back in sync. Still not completely finished, but the bulk of the core patches have been ported over. Everything in the /main directory should be done, and a good chunk in /ext/standard is done. Now, since 3.0.3 will be out (tomarrow?), it is important that ALL patches to PHP happen to BOTH tree's...that means that anyone who makes changes to any core part of php (that which does not require a 3rd party library to compile) and doesnt patch both trees will be taken out back and shot. (or I'll just backport all my thread saftey and sapi stuff to the 3.0 tree, which do you think would be a bigger mess? :) Anyway, please at this time get the 3.1 tree if you do not have it already, so you can familierize yourselves with the structure layout. /main is the core part of PHP. /ext contains all function modules. /ext/standard are, of course, standard modules in the core distribution. All other modules in /ext have not been updated to 3.1 as yet, and may be overwriten with the code from the 3.0 tree. I will finish porting 3.0->3.1 patches in /ext/standard tomarrow. NOTE: I did not port over some recent work done in making some modules (such as imap) staticly compile. However, that's just a couple lines in basic functions.c for the most part. Oh, and someone needs to put the real path stuff into the 3.1 makefiles.
