Its the same as them being able to charge you for using Perl,
is it done often? No.... will it drive away customers? Most likely.
The problem is that there aren't many people using PHP today, so because
they don't see a real push for it they feel they can gouge.
I work for an internet company, as you can see by my email address, and
we're
currently trying to move into the hosting realms.
If people are interested, I would be willing to setup a PHP based service,
or even
if there is enough interest a dedicated machine, for PHP developers. It
would be on
a T1 line. If you would be interested or have ideas for me PLEASE email me
