This shouldn't be the case. Erronous line numbers should only occur in eval() statements. If you experience this problem outside the scope of eval(), please submit a small reproducing test case. We'll try to handle the eval() issue in the future.

If I have a file called a.php (100 lines) and it requires b.php (100 lines) on line 15, and I have an error in a.php at line 65, the engine will report an error in b.php on line 150, which doesn't exist. This makes it VERY HARD to find bugs in your code if you're including different files for object use. A big mess up, I think... The only way to track down errors is to do the following: Start with the first file you called. Count the number of lines until the first include/require. From now on, the engine will think that the file is the include file, period. Count the number of lines until the next include (if any)... etc. It's a pain in the a$$. -- PHP Development Mailing List <http://www.php.net/> To unsubscribe, e-mail: php-dev-unsubscribe@lists.php.net For additional commands, e-mail: php-dev-help@lists.php.net To contact the list administrators, e-mail: php-list-admin@lists.php.net
