We need to collect more information about this issue. If you have access to a system where this is 100% reproduceable, please follow this short procedure and post the results to the list (everyone, not only Stig). 1. Put the following line into conftest.c: #include <sys/resource.h> 2. Run the following command: grep -1 "for sys/resource.h" config.log|tail -n1 3. It will output a line containing gcc. Execute the command starting at gcc. 4. If conftest.out contains any error messages, post the error messages, the command you ran under 3. and your configure line, as well as your glibc version, the kernel version you are currently running and the version of the kernel header files. - Sascha
