We would need to support C0x and GCC inline semantics. It is
possible, but it requires a bit of work.
An inline function would need to be moved to the header file
where its prototype is defined. The prototype would then be
replaced with:
inline func(..)
#if defined(C0X_INLINE_SEMANTICS)
{
/* function body */
}
#else
;
#endif
The second step is to create a file which is only compiled,
if GCC semantics are enabled. This file would simply define
C0X_INLINE_SEMANTICS and include all header files which
contain inline functions:
#define C0X_INLINE_SEMANTICS
#include "header1.h"
..
