Perhaps among some, not among most of us...

I've been working with Rasmus by email only since PHP/FI, and have
always found him to be helpful, bright, generous with his time, and
a superb net colleague. Just as you have a personal life and multiple
calls upon your professional life, so does he, so do all the busy PHP
developers. We all need to cut one another a reasonable amount of
slack, and exercise more good humor and good will. PHP is not going to
to away, even if there is a serious problem with session variables.
Someone will in the open source "bazaar" fix it in time. In the
interim, it would be foolish to place PHP in the critical path of
any project requiring what you need, unless you are prepared to create
some work-around.
