Just browsing the source where I found:
setmode(_fileno(stdin), O_BINARY); /* make the stdio mode be binary */
setmode(_fileno(stdout), O_BINARY); /* make the stdio mode be binary */
setmode(_fileno(stderr), O_BINARY); /* make the stdio mode be binary */
In the comments:
the second stdio should be 'stdout'
and the third stdio should be 'stderr'.
