./buildconf fails

Hi,
just checked out the current cvs tree. When I ran ./buildconf I got the
following:
buildconf: checking installation
buildconf: autoconf version 2.13 (ok)
buildconf: automake version 1.4 (ok)
buildconf: libtool version 1.3.4. (ok)
make[1]: *** [Zend/Makefile.am] Error 1
make: *** [all] Error 2
It seems that Zend/Makefile.am does not exists. Did I forget something?
