My opinion is that *array_pop()* inherents the meaning to *pop* the last element (like assembler registers) while not touching the rest, I would prefer a slower solution (copying array, returning last one, unsetting last element) until a better solution can be found, rather than an *array_pop_and_kill_numeric_indicies()*, that´s my opinion (TM) I did not want to say that beeing unable to have numeric string indicies is a bug in zend, that´s the way it works (would be fine though), if you thought of regards Stanislav Malyshev wrote:

Not more than having to write $ before variable names. It's how Zend engine works.
