PHP 4.0 Bug #5252: unable to compile php with pdflib3 support!

Trying to compile php4 with pdf support for 3 hours... and it still doesn't work. ./configure output: --------------- checking for memmove... (cached) yes checking whether to include Pdflib 3.x support... /usr/local/src/web/pdflib3 yes checking for libz needed by pdflib 3.x... already zlib support checking for jpeg_read_header in -ljpeg... no no checking for png_create_info_struct in -lpng... no no checking for TIFFOpen in -ltiff... no no checking for PDF_show_boxed in -lpdf... no configure: error: pdflib extension requires pdflib 3.x. BUT: - I do have pdflib3 - I do have tifflib and - I do have jpeglib I have to get this thing work before tomorrow... Thanks in advance for any hint! This is getting me crazy...
