Perhaps you´d accept that he came from another parallel multiverse, then the work has been done in that multiverse and *our* John can be happy that he do not has to write it and we legally can use and apply the patch without creating any paradoxon or breaking the time line ;)

I needed to use HMAC-SHA1 so I added a couple of functions into the mhash module to hook up to the mhash library's hmac functions. We'd be delighted if you'd consider this patch for inclusion in a future release, under the usual licensing terms. I've only tested on PHP 3.0.16 but I don't see why it wouldn't work on PHP 4. but if we apply it today you won't write this mail in july so we wouldn't know what to path and wouldn't do it ... !!! TIME PARADOXON AHEAD !!! maybe we should wait for another two weeks??? ;-)
