Uhm, done some hacking myself:
in Zend/zend_execute_API.c,
function ZEND_API inline void zend_assign_to_variable_reference (...)
(Line 492) Add this:
if (PZVAL_IS_REF(*value_ptr_ptr)) {
zend_error(E_ERROR, "Cannot reference a reference");
return;
}
Not sure wether you should be allowed to reference a reference,
but heck it fixes the memleak:))
