RE: [PHP-DEV] fsockeropen() & file() problem.

Hi, concerning about the fsockopen timeout parameter I have also encountered some limitations... I think that the time out reffers only to the open of the connection, but there are some other timeouts that I couln?d find how to handle them. For example: I make a conection to foo.com, port 110. The server is up and I enter the function... but the I whant to send user & pass and the server does not answer... The gets function will be waiting till it receives something... In c++ you can handle that timeouts but in php I couldn't find how. I have tested it around with a simple server which echoes everiting I send and if I put a sleep (30) the gets will wait for 30 secs.. & so on...
