Originally, I had planned to run this application with the zend compiler, but as that's not out yet, I'm having to press ahead.
What I'm doing, is taking a long form with a bunch of fields, from validated users, and putting the data into a MySQL database.
I cannot allow the users direct access to the database.
What I'm looking for, is some way to fill out the form, other than by hand, through a browser.
I'm trying to avoid double-keying all this information.
Ideally, this would be an app that the user runs on their system, or something on my system run by rexec, but without the compiler, I can't go that way.
Is there any way to perform the same action and invoke a php script as if from "submit" on a form, without a browser, from a linux/unix box?
I'll also need to solve this for wintel, but that's another hurdle.
WHERE'S THAT COMPILER???
:)
