I have several problems with the Java extension in PHP 4.0.1 1. Since changing from PHP 4.0.0 to 4.0.1 i cant seem to access classes in the current directory. I am using the same php.ini and it works in V4 but not V4.0.1. I have set my classpath to: java.class.path="C:\web\php4\php_java.jar;.;C:\web\site\dev\htdocs\class" and i am trying to call $myj = new Java("phptest"); which results in : Warning: èt in c:\web\site\dev\htdocs\test\java\javatest.htm on line 89 The same class works fine with the same .php and .class file and php.ini in PHP 4.0.0 2. I havent tested this in a un*x yet but Windows users seem to get useless error/warnings filled with strange characters (see above Warning), all Java related warnings and errors appear like this. 3. I cant seem to set java properties (instance variables?) from PHP. The following comes back with an error (this is true of V4 and V4.0.1); $myj = new Java("my.test.phptest"); $myj->someVar = "FOO"; results in Warning: à;t in c:\web\site\dev\htdocs\test\java\javatest.htm on line 90 Are these windows only problems? Should i be able to set properties in Java from PHP? I'd be happy to raise these as bug reports if required.
