If I've signed up on the wrong list for this question, apologies...
There are a number of databases I use depending on who I'm working with.
Most of the time I use php to talk to the database, except for one case
--php doesn't support it yet. I'd like to get an idea of how much effort
it would take to write a basic php interface for another database. There
are some weird points about the product (FileMaker Pro) but I've got
several senior engineering contacts at the vendor so I shouldn't have a
problem getting the documentation I need.
So, a couple of questions:
1) anyone on the list who has experience writing db interfaces for php
who'd be interested in yacking about this?
2) can anyone offer me an estimate of what kind of time and programming
skill this'd involve?
