From: root@pegsoft.net
Operating system: Linux 2.2.15
PHP version: 4.0.1pl2
PHP Bug Type: MySQL related
Bug description: mysql_query() produces weird warnings
The following code:
<?php
mysql_connect('localhost', 'pegsoft', 'xxxx');
mysql_select_db('pegdns');
mysql_query('INSERT INTO users (id, password, email, created) VALUES (NULL,
"blabla",
"test@pegirc.com",NULL)');
mysql_close();
?>
produces the following warning:
Warning: MySQL: Unable to save result set in /usr/web/pegsoft/pegdns/test.php on line 7
and the function fails.
I have tried the same code on the same machine with PHP 3.0.16 and it worked fine (the entry was
created with no warning).
I've compiled both PHP 3.0.16 and PHP 4.0.1pl2 with configure options
----with-apxs=/home/httpd/bin/apxs \
--enable-versioning \
--with-mysql \
--enable-track-vars
