problem loading latest php4 module.

For some reason I'm getting this when upgrading to the latest version of
php4 in an strace
SYS_174(0x22, 0xbfffd4f8, 0, 0x8, 0x22) = 0
SYS_175(0, 0xbfffd758, 0, 0x8, 0) = 0
munmap(0x401a1000, 12498) = 0
read(3, "directives in this section set u"..., 4096) = 4096
--- SIGSEGV (Segmentation fault) ---
I'm currently using php-4.0RC2 without problems, php-4.0b4pl1
causes Seg Fault and core dump. Here are my config options:
./configure --prefix=/usr --with-apxs=/usr/webservers/httpd/sbin/apxs
--enable-ftp --with-mysql=/usr --with-pgsql --without-gd
--enable-track-vars --with-xml=shared
