I ran mysqld with tracing enabled, and it never sees the Quit command. Another
evidence of this: Aborted_connects = Num_requests/MaxRequestPerChild . I have
not actually traced Apache/PHP to see if mysql_close() gets executed, but pretty
sure it does not. If it does at all, it would be on the wrong connection.
