hello i have a problem!!!..please help me out.

Hello Sir/Madam, I have installed Redhat 6.2 linux on my pentium III mcahine,with win98.I have installed apache latest and php3.0 too.I have installed mysql also.I am able to see the configuration test.php3 of php on netscape browser and both my php and apache are running fine.I also tried to configure Mysql with php and the result was not good.Mysql is also running fine but when i try to connect through php it says "cant connect to Mysql server by mysql.sock (111)". i use mysql_connect() function to connect to mysql.Although in the test.php3 file it shows that Mysql is configured with php but it says that in the SOCKET INFORMATION = no information available ??? I dont know how to go for it now...u can only help me out.Tell me everything u know about this.i will be very gratefull.:) thanking you, MOHIT not to mention YOURS FAITHFULLY...hehe.
