I sometimes get a error like this:
Warning: Nesting level too deep - recursive dependency? in Unknown on line 0
Fatal error: Cannot redeclare glossaryitems() in layout.php on line 7
I doesn't come up always, only about 1 of 5 requests give this output. There is no recursive dependency anywhere. Pressing reload usually solves the problem - for a moment.
My include file is more as 32 Kb, could that be the problem?
When the file is first read, the end of the file is not reached(a 'echo' at the end wasn't executed)
I assume you´re using objects. Try out a var_dump() on a few obejcts and isolate the one that gives the same error, a recursive dependency is not usally a recursive function call.
When I ran into this I linked (=&) some object $a as a property of $b wich was a property $c which instanciated an object of type $a sometimes (or so, don´t actually know anymore how compilcated that was).
You should analyze your class structure of the isolate object.
But I am not sure how many nesting levels are legally allowed in Zend, if it´s 20 and your classes legally use 21 then you´d ask perhaps for a configuration option... (that I don´t know of).
If you heavily use objects and you link(=&) or perhaps copy (=) whole objects into other objects and these objects contain further linked/copied objects and so on... that problem *could* (not verified) arise without an actual fault in your code.
I actually can´t say how long you can fatten your objects.
