I didn't write these functions, but since the contributor didn't bother
to update the documentation, I quickly gathered some information from
the ODBC Programmers Guide.
I think that those functions are not of interest to the average user -
unless you want to write some database administration/monitoring tool.
If you do this, you'll have do dig deeper into odbc/your database anyway
and should get hold of the odbc specification. If you are intersted in
those docs (maybe enhance the php documentation?) feel free to contact
me via pm.
