At least I'm not the only one experiencing this problem, yesterday I got
this message from Stefan Kirch:
Hi!
Perhaps interisting in this context:
I have the same problem (#5535) and found a
"work-around" like the following:
if (ereg("^foo$", $file)) {
RegEx works fine, so it seems to be a problom
of string-comparison.
Codes like
if ($x == "5") {
also breaks the loop, on the other hand, numerical comparisons like
if ($x == 5) {
works fine.
Any idea?!?
Steff
Is there anything I can do to help debug this? I know more or less how to
use gdb, but in this case I feel a little confused - is it possible to trace
the exact execution of the PHP code through gdb, and how can I do it in that
case? Or anything else that might be of interest - machine type, etc, etc?
