Hi, in ext/standart/microtime.c there is a piece of code that looks like this:
#ifdef HAVE_SYS_RESOURCE_H
#include <sys/resource.h>
#endif
Apparently, when I run configure and then make, HAVE_SYS_RESOURCE_H does not get set, and thus the
file <sys/resource.h> does not get included, and compilation fails. I work around that by
just manually removing #ifdef...#endif and leaving the #include statement to include the file
unconditionally. I get a couple of warnings about RLIM_INFINITY redefined, I think, but the whole
thing compiles and works well.
php4RC2 was the last release, I believe, that did not have that problem. Everything eversince,
including a snapshot I got 3-4 days ago does. Makes me think that it is either a bug that was
introduced, or php has been made tighter after RC2, and does not forgive some stupidity in my redhat
installation.
My setup is a fairly generic redhat 6.1 installation with a 2.3.51 kernel. I configure php like
that:
./configure --with-apxs=/usr/local/apache/bin/apxs --with-imap --with-mcrypt --with-mysql=/usr
--with --with-pspell
If this bothers anyone else, I'll submit a bug report. If not, I will just assume that my
redhat installation is bogus. Unfortunately, I don't have time to figure that out.
Vlad
