From: rhoegg@isisnetworks.net Operating system: Slackware Linux 7.0 (modified) PHP version: 4.0 Release Candidate 2 PHP Bug Type: Compile Failure Bug description: compile failure in microtime.c looking for getrusage() - fresh download of php-4.0.1pl2 from http://www.php.net/do_download.php?download_file=php-4.0.1pl2.tar.gz&source_site=isisnetworks.net into /usr/src/dl # pwd /usr/src # tar -xzf dl/php-4.0.1pl2 # ln -s php-4.0.1pl2 php # cd php # ./configure --prefix=/usr/local/php4 --bindir=/usr/local/bin --sbindir=/usr/local/sbin --mandir=/usr/local/man --with-apxs --with-mysql=/usr/local/mysql --disable-short-tags --with-gd=/usr/local/gd1.3 *snip (successful, license statement, all that jazz)* # make *snip lots of fun gcc lines etc* /bin/sh /usr/src/php/libtool --silent --mode=compile gcc -DHAVE_CONFIG_H -I. -I/ usr/src/php/ext/standard -I/usr/src/php -I/usr/src/php/main -I/usr/local/apache/ include -I/usr/src/php/Zend -I/usr/src/php -I/usr/local/gd1.3 -I/usr/local/mysql /include/mysql -I/usr/src/php/ext/xml/expat/xmltok -I/usr/src/php/ext/xml/expat/ xmlparse -DXML_BYTE_ORDER=12 -g -O2 -c microtime.c microtime.c: In function `php_if_getrusage': microtime.c:97: storage size of `usg' isn't known microtime.c:100: `RUSAGE_SELF' undeclared (first use in this function) microtime.c:100: (Each undeclared identifier is reported only once microtime.c:100: for each function it appears in.) microtime.c:106: `RUSAGE_CHILDREN' undeclared (first use in this function) make[3]: *** [microtime.lo] Error 1 make[3]: Leaving directory `/usr/src/php-4.0.1pl2/ext/standard' make[2]: *** [all-recursive] Error 1 make[2]: Leaving directory `/usr/src/php-4.0.1pl2/ext/standard' make[1]: *** [all-recursive] Error 1 make[1]: Leaving directory `/usr/src/php-4.0.1pl2/ext' make: *** [all-recursive] Error 1 I've tried recompiling, reconfiguring, rebuilding apache, rebuilding mysql, and redownloading the tar.gz (on the off chance I got a dirty d/l) I've even tried compiling without MySQL support, with the included mysql support, and without gd. Apache is 1.3.12, MySQL is 3.22.32. Apache is built with SHARED_CORE and mod_so, apxs apparently works (although this is the first/only shared module I am adding). Here is my apache configure line (apaci): /usr/src/apache/configure --prefix=/usr/local/apache --bindir=/usr/local/bin --sbindir=/usr/local/sbin --mandir=/usr/local/man --htdocsdir=/usr/local/webdata --enable-rule=SHARED_CORE -- server-uid=xxxxx --server-gid=xxxxx --enable-module=so --enable-module=expires Thanks!
