Hi,
In the php.net bug database, I have opened and closed a call concerning
compiling php on Linux 2.4.0-test1. My bug number was 5715, and it
doesn't seem like it got closed, so I thought I'd post what happened
here so it can be fixed in later versions.
First of all, I found the clue to my solution in the inital description
of the bug in bug number 4633. I guess it really isn't a fix so much,
but it does allow to to compile a working PHP4.01pl2 and go from there.
What I did was change the following line in config.cache:
- ac_cv_func_getrusage=${ac_cv_func_getrusage=yes}
+ ac_cv_func_getrusage=${ac_cv_func_getrusage=no}
My configure line is as follows:
/usr/src/php-4.0.1pl2/configure --bindir=/usr/local/bin
--sbindir=/usr/local/sbin --mandir=/usr/local/man --with-apxs
--with-mysql=/usr/local/mysql --disable-short-tags
--with-gd=/usr/local/gd1.3
This may also apply to the following bug database bugs: 3979, 4182,
4481, 4792, 4806, 5135, 5210, 5326, 5486.
Thanks for a wonderful piee of software.
