I am incorrect; the problem does happen on PWS 4.0. However,
the code does work correctly on the UNIX server which I believe is
running PHP 3.0.9.
Is there an INI setting that affects strict type checking?
Maybe they have this set to On.
I wasn't aware of the === syntax and missed the double !== in
your previous message. Thanks for the heads up.
