Please verify, that it´s still happening using the latest version of PHP (release 4.0.1pl2 or CVS).
BTW, please verify that your browser *tries* (gets the chance) to set a cookie on your behaviour
(immediately return) I can´t figure out completely: activate "Warn before cookies get
set" or similar.
