so doesn´t
system('dir');
work for you?
I´m on Win2k and it works, you just need to output the returned value. If I want to supress it I
turn ob_buffering on...
watch you php.ini if it´s turned on, if it is, turn it off and try again...
for debuggin scripts you should turn implicit_flush=on, then you´ll get every result printed
