That's not true - Visual C++ has a full featured debugger built in, and it can be used to look at the backtrace. When you crash, you can take a look at the backtrace in View->Debug Windows->Call Stack.

what´s with MSVC6, I´m able to debug applications with it, but I don´t know what information to send, is that backtrace like disassembling? no. the "debugger" from vc6 does only output the assembler code, i dont know whether vc6 owns a backtracer. the backtrace allows you to see what happend until the crash inside the application, what functions are called etc. you'll see how the source get's executed. you'll also need a debug build of the application you want to trace. greetings daniel -- PHP Development Mailing List <http://www.php.net/> To unsubscribe, e-mail: php-dev-unsubscribe@lists.php.net For additional commands, e-mail: php-dev-help@lists.php.net To contact the list administrators, e-mail: php-list-admin@lists.php.net-- Zeev Suraski <zeev@zend.com> http://www.zend.com/
